Christopher-Jack Andrew

Christopher-Jack Andrew is an Australian bass-baritone from Perth, now based in Melbourne. He discovered his love for opera during his high school years, shaped by a childhood immersed in choral music. Holding a Bachelor of Music from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and a Master of Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, he is an experienced performer with a diverse array of operas under his belt. Some favourite roles include Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the MCM, Frost in The Selfish Giant with Victorian Opera, Frank in Die Fledermaus at WAAPA, and his first ever role, Superintendent Budd in Albert Herring. Christopher-Jack is a proud member of the West Australian Opera chorus, singing in both Carmen and Otello with them last year. In Melbourne, he is an active part of Opera Scholars Australia and was a finalist in their Art Song competition this year. In July he was thrilled to perform once again with Victorian Opera, this time in English Eccentrics. In addition to playing Leporello in this production of Don Giovanni, Christopher-Jack is also currently performing the role of Haly with Lyster Opera in L’Italiana in Algeri.
