Chris Clifford
Chris Clifford has recently moved to Melbourne since completing postgraduate study at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Classical Voice & Opera.
During his studies, he has been involved in the opera productions of Saul (Handel), Cendrillon (Massenet), and the Val Machin Opera Scenes. He has most recently performed the role of The Sorceror in Purcell's Dido & Aeneas and Vodnik in Dvořák's Rusalka, both for XL Arts Inc, Benoit and Alcindoro for Opera New England's production of La bohème, and Bartolo in the Queensland Conservatorium's production of Le nozze di Figaro. Prior to moving to Melbourne he has been a member of the Opera Queensland Chorus for their production of Verdi's Otello and the Australian premiere of Glass' The Perfect American. Other roles he has perform in recent years are Keeper of the Madhousse in Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress (QCGU), Oberon in an adaptation of Purcell's The Fairy Queen (QCGU) and Il Notaio in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi.
Chris has recently been selected to perform in 3MBS' upcoming season of The Talent and will be performing the role of Samuel in XL Arts Inc's upcoming production of Un ballo in maschera.
