April Foster
April is a coloratura soprano who completed her Bachelor of Music at The University of Melbourne (July 2015), majoring in Music Performance (Classical Voice). Currently April is a soloist with the Queens College Chapel Choir at the University of Melbourne, and a scholar with the Melbourne Bach Choir.
Most recently she performed the Spirit in XL Arts' production of Dido and Æneas. Last year she covered the role of the Turnspit for XL Arts' production of Rusalka. April has also performed with the Savoy Opera Company in their 2015 production of Pirates of Penzance and their 2014 production of Ruddigore. In 2014 April was delighted to play the role of Carlotta in Ballarat Lyric Theatre’s production of The Phantom of the Opera for which she received a commendation from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria.
This year April won the Grand Aria in Geelong Eisteddfod, as well as receiving the Aggregate Award.
